Job Summary
Prepare accurate quantity surveys and estimates for assigned project divisions by reading department policies and soliciting subcontractor quotations. Collaborate with architects and engineers to clarify drafting requests, attend project meetings, and perform site investigations as needed. Lead small-sized bid teams by supervising personnel, establishing bidding schedules, and conducting final reviews at least two days before the bid due date. Critically analyze estimates to ensure competitive pricing, apply appropriate labor rates, and recognize risks to apply contingency funds. Work required hours to complete tasks by established deadlines while identifying cost-saving measures and efficient paths to success.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating
- 3-10 Years of estimating experience
- Knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
- Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time
- Preference for candidates living in the Denver, CO area
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering or equivalent experience
