Job Summary
Prepare accurate quantity surveys and estimates for project divisions, solicit subcontractor quotations, and collaborate with architects to clarify specifications. Examine office procedures to identify cost-saving measures, participate in plan reviews, and compile historical cost data. When designated as Lead Estimator, supervise bid teams, manage schedules, and critically analyze estimates to ensure competitive bids while applying appropriate labor rates and construction methods. Recognize risks to apply contingency funds and explore options to shorten construction schedules and minimize indirect costs. Work required hours to meet established deadlines, utilizing estimating software and understanding MIC Health and Safety programs.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating
- 3-10 Years of estimating experience
- Knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
- Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time
- Preference for candidates living in the Denver, CO area

- Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering or equivalent experience
