Job Summary
Prepare accurate quantity surveys and estimates for assigned project divisions. Solicit subcontractor and supplier quotations, confirm project lists, and collaborate with architects and engineers to draft clarifications. Conduct site investigations, attend project meetings, and participate in plan and estimate reviews. Lead small-sized bid teams by supervising personnel, establishing bidding schedules, and ensuring successful kick-off and mid-bid reviews. Critically analyze estimates to apply appropriate labor rates and construction methods, identify cost-saving measures, and manage risks through contingency planning.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating
- 3-10 Years of estimating experience
- Knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
- Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time
- Preference for candidates living in the Denver, CO area
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering or equivalent experience
