Job Summary
Prepare accurate quantity surveys and estimates for assigned project divisions. Solicit subcontractor and supplier quotations, confirm project lists, and collaborate with architects and engineers to draft clarifications. Participate in plan reviews, site investigations, and project meetings. When designated as Lead Estimator, supervise bid team members, establish bidding schedules, and critically analyze estimates to ensure competitive bids while applying appropriate labor rates and construction methods. Identify cost-saving measures, recognize risks, and apply contingency funds. Work established hours to meet deadlines, utilizing estimating software and reviewing historical cost data.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating
- 3-10 Years of estimating experience
- Knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
- Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time
- Preference for candidates living in the Denver, CO area

- Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering or equivalent experience
