Job Summary
Prepare accurate quantity surveys and estimates for assigned project divisions by soliciting subcontractor quotations and collaborating with architects and engineers. Lead bid teams for small-sized projects by supervising personnel, establishing bidding schedules, and conducting final reviews to ensure competitive bids. Analyze owner specifications, apply labor rates and construction methods, and critically evaluate estimates to minimize indirects and identify cost-saving measures. Attend project meetings, perform site investigations, and assist in compiling historical cost data while adhering to MIC Health and Safety programs.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating
- 3-10 Years of estimating experience
- Knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
- Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time
- Preference for candidates living in the Denver, CO area
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering or equivalent experience
