Job Summary
Prepare accurate quantity surveys and estimates for project divisions, solicit subcontractor quotations, and participate in plan review and estimate reviews. Collaborate with architects and engineers to clarify specifications, conduct site investigations, and compile historical cost data. Lead small-sized bid teams by supervising personnel, establishing bidding schedules, and ensuring successful kick-off and final reviews. Critically analyze estimates to apply appropriate labor rates, minimize indirects, and recognize risks for competitive bids. Work established hours and deadlines while becoming familiar with all estimating software.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating
- 3-10 Years of estimating experience
- Knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
- Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time
- Preference for candidates living in the Denver, CO area
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering or equivalent experience
