Job Summary
Prepare accurate quantity surveys and estimates for assigned project divisions by reading department policies, soliciting subcontractor quotations, and collaborating with architects and engineers. Examine office conditions to identify cost-saving measures, participate in plan and estimate reviews, and compile historical cost data. When designated as Lead Estimator, supervise the bid team, establish bidding schedules, review owner specifications, and critically analyze estimates to ensure competitive bids while minimizing indirects and construction equipment. Work required hours to meet deadlines, attend project meetings, and perform site investigations as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating
- 3-10 Years of estimating experience
- Knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
- Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time
- Preference for candidates living in the Denver, CO area
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering or equivalent experience
