Job Summary
Prepare accurate quantity surveys and estimates for assigned project divisions, soliciting subcontractor and supplier quotations as required. Collaborate with architects and engineers to draft clarifications, attend project meetings, and perform site investigations. Examine office conditions to identify inaccuracies and cost-saving measures, while assisting in compiling historical cost data. Lead estimating efforts for small-sized projects by supervising bid teams, managing schedules, and conducting final reviews prior to bid due dates. Critically analyze estimates to ensure competitive bids, apply appropriate labor rates, and recognize risks to apply contingency and escalation.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating
- 3-10 Years of estimating experience
- Knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
- Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time
- Preference for candidates living in the Denver, CO area
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering or equivalent experience
