Job Summary
Prepare accurate quantity surveys and estimates for assigned project divisions by soliciting subcontractor quotations and collaborating with architects and engineers. Examine office conditions to identify inaccuracies and cost-saving measures, then participate in plan reviews and site investigations as needed. Lead small-sized bid teams by establishing schedules, conducting mid-bid reviews, and critically analyzing labor rates and construction methods to ensure competitive bids. Recognize risks, apply contingencies, and explore options to shorten construction schedules while maintaining safety compliance through toolbox meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating
- 3-10 Years of estimating experience
- Knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
- Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time
- Preference for candidates living in the Denver, CO area
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering or equivalent experience
