Job Summary
Prepare accurate quantity surveys and estimates for assigned project divisions. Solicit subcontractor and supplier quotations, confirm project lists, and collaborate with architects and engineers on clarifications. Lead bid teams by supervising members, establishing schedules, and conducting kickoff, mid-bid, and final reviews. Analyze owner specifications to ensure cost incorporation, critically evaluate estimates for competitiveness, and apply appropriate labor rates and construction methods. Identify cost-saving measures, assess risks for contingency planning, and explore options to shorten construction schedules. Work established hours to meet bid deadlines while participating in site investigations and toolbox meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating
- 3-10 Years of estimating experience
- Knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
- Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time
- Preference for candidates living in the Denver, CO area
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering or equivalent experience
