Job Summary
Prepare accurate quantity surveys and estimates for assigned project divisions, soliciting subcontractor quotations and collaborating with architects to resolve clarifications. Examine office procedures to identify cost-saving measures, compile historical cost data, and confirm subcontractor lists. Participate in plan reviews, site investigations, and project meetings while becoming proficient in estimating software. When designated as Lead Estimator, supervise the bid team, establish deadlines, review team work, and critically analyze estimates to ensure competitive bids by applying appropriate labor rates and construction methods. Recognize risks to apply contingency funds and explore options to shorten construction schedules and minimize indirects.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating
- 3-10 Years of estimating experience
- Knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
- Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time
- Preference for candidates living in the Denver, CO area

- Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering or equivalent experience
