Estimator/Landfill Construction Estimator

Job Summary
Estimator/Landfill Construction Estimator responsible for preparing complete landfill project estimates (> $1M to $50M) across public and private sectors; review drawings and specifications, perform quantity takeoffs, obtain subcontractor and supplier quotes, develop production rates and crew/equipment setups, build schedules, and complete bid submissions. Collaborates with the Estimating Team, travels to pre-bid meetings, and works on landfill-related projects in PA/MD/DE/NJ/VA from the Harrisburg, PA office. Requires strong communication, attention to detail, and experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD Civil 3D, HCSS HeavyBid, and SmartBid; background check and drug testing are required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of estimating experience in civil/site construction industry, with specific experience of landfill related projects is preferred
- A two or four-year degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field of study is preferred; prior industry experience will also be considered
- Understanding of civil drawings and specifications including earthwork, utilities, and E&S controls
- Ability to use Bluebeam and AutoCAD Civil 3D as tools to assist in takeoffs of work
- Familiarity with HCSS programs HeavyBid
- Familiarity with SmartBid
- Knowledge of surveying and GPS equipment is a plus
- Must be a U.S. citizen for restricted site access
