Job Summary
Estimator will analyze blueprints and project specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment. Responsibilities include gathering data, performing quantity surveys, soliciting and evaluating subcontractor bids, and compiling final bid documents. Requires strong math and analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication to interact with clients and subcontractors, and proficiency in estimating software. Travel between office and construction site may be required; experience with heavy equipment construction and utilities is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quantity surveying, construction management, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in construction estimating
- Proficiency in estimating software and construction methods
