Job Summary
Develop cost estimates for small projects by performing detailed quantity takeoffs and analyzing historical cost data. Compare subcontractor quotes to ensure competitive pricing while identifying risks and quantifying factors impacting project costs. Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to understand construction requirements, then communicate with suppliers to request and review quotes. Assist senior estimators and project managers in bid reviews and pre-bid meetings, attend site visits to observe operations, and apply company processes using tools like On-Screen Takeoff, Agtek, or HCSS HeavyBid. Support standardization of estimating methodologies and refine cost databases to track material, labor, and equipment changes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- minimum of two years of experience performing primary responsibilities listed above
- Proficiency with Outlook
- Proficiency with Excel
- Proficiency with Word
- Experience in self-perform construction

- Experience using HCSS
- Experience using Bluebeam
