Job Summary
Estimator III leads project estimates and collaborates with estimators, suppliers, and customers to complete bids. Responsibilities include establishing objectives and deliverables, performing quantity take-offs, reviewing drawings/specifications, soliciting quotes from qualified suppliers/subcontractors, developing labor productivity and installation unit costs, preparing comprehensive material/equipment lists, drafting scope letters with inclusions/exclusions, and briefing the Chief Estimator on scope, requirements, and pricing. Requires strong proficiency in estimating techniques, reading blueprints/engineering drawings, and familiarity with Accubid, LiveCount Cloud, and Bluebeam; proficient with MS Office. Travel up to 10% is expected. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field and 5+ years of estimating experience are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years’ estimating or other relevant experience in closing construction estimates
- Advanced Experience in Accubid estimating software, LiveCount Cloud, and Bluebeam software preferred
- Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience
