Job Summary
Estimator II for commercial HVAC and plumbing projects based in San Antonio, TX. Review project plans, perform quantity takeoffs, prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors; solicit and evaluate bids; create RFIs and assess cost and schedule impacts; review addendums and incorporate changes; analyze schedules to identify lead-time risks; collaborate with project managers, engineers, clients, suppliers, and design teams; maintain estimating databases and pricing; attend pre-bid meetings and site visits; ensure estimates comply with codes and standards; manage multiple bids to meet deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC and plumbing estimating experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Science, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Ability to verify U.S. employment eligibility
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC and plumbing construction methods, materials, and building codes
- Experience with estimating software such as Trimble, Procore, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar platforms
- Proficiency with Building Connected, Procore, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with suppliers, owners, and design teams
