Job Summary
Mid-level Estimator II responsible for preparing and completing bid documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects. Responsibilities include reviewing proposal specs and drawings, performing complete takeoffs, identifying subcontractors and quotes, compiling scope inclusions/exclusions, and presenting estimates to the Lead Estimator and Chief Estimator. Works with Senior Estimators to develop labor productivity and unit costs, ensures timely completion of client-required documents, and supports turnover discussions. Requires strong analytical, numerical, and communication skills, proficiency in estimating software (Accubid) and CAD/3D tools, and the ability to work under time pressure. Travel up to 10% and a comprehensive benefits package including ESOP and 401k are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience estimating commercial construction projects, preferably in electrical construction
- Proficient in Accubid estimating
- Proficient in CAD or 3D software preferred
