Job Summary
Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors on industrial, heavy civil, and commercial coating projects. Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to develop complete project estimates, performing quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam. Identify project risks and conflicts through RFIs, solicit vendor pricing, and develop scopes of work, budgets, and bid packages. Coordinate successful project handoffs to operations after award and mentor junior team members. Requires 5+ years of estimating experience, proficiency in Bluebeam and advanced Excel, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of estimating experience in construction, heavy civil, industrial, or related projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, logistics, risk evaluation, and project costing
- Proficiency with Bluebeam and advanced Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids while meeting deadlines
- Valid driver's license required
