Job Summary
Accurately perform quantity takeoffs, price project logistics including hoisting and temporary elements, and develop abstracts to evaluate trade bids. Draft subcontracts and purchase orders for senior review, solicit pricing in hard bid environments, and support conceptual estimating by developing basic models. Provide document control for assigned projects, assist in preparing key estimating deliverables, and develop budget uploads and purchasing plans under senior oversight. Requires 2-5 years of experience, a four-year engineering degree, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Preferred candidates hold or are willing to obtain LEED accreditation.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience (Estimator I)
- 2-5 years of experience (Estimator II)
- Four year engineering degree
- Equivalent combinations of technical training
- Equivalent combinations of related experience
- Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
- Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis
- Will lift, push or pull objects pounds on an occasional basis
- Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/workday
- Will use telephone, computer system, email, and other electronic devices on a frequent basis to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors
