Job Summary
HVAC Equipment Estimator responsible for performing intermediate to complex HVAC take-offs from construction drawings, building equipment proposals and quotes for mechanical contractors. Uses pricing software (salesforce data management) and conducts plan/spec take-offs, design/build bids, and CD bids with independent judgement. Sets estimating strategy, mentors the Estimating Coordinator and Estimator I, manages multiple bids (roughly 5–15 per week) in the $500k–$1M range, drafts pricing quotes, researches project opportunities, and ensures accurate, timely quotations while delivering strong customer service to stakeholders. Proficiency in BlueBeam and experience with bid documents and pricing processes are required to support accurate quotations and project execution.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years HVAC/Construction estimating experience
- Proficiency in BlueBeam
- Experience performing take-offs using On Screen Takeoff or similar software
- Ability to draft pricing quotes and manage multiple bids
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience bidding projects in the $500,000–$1,000,000 range
