Job Summary
Estimator I (Sales - Inside Sales) analyzes blueprints and other documentation to develop a materials list and cost estimate for bids and contract pricing. Uses estimating software to determine material quantities and costs, assists the sales team with material availability and substitutions, maintains current pricing data, and advises on cost-reduction opportunities while coordinating with Project Managers, clients, and vendors to resolve issues. Requires ability to read blueprints, calculate linear/area measurements, and perform basic algebra/geometry; 2-3 years of relevant industry experience and an associate degree in construction technology (preferred).
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in construction technology from a two-year college or technical school (preferred).
- 2-3 years of prior experience within the building construction industry.
