Job Summary
Estimator will drive preconstruction budgeting for commercial and multifamily projects across the Midwest, East Coast, and Southeast. Responsibilities include developing conceptual through detailed estimates, performing quantity take-offs, reviewing drawings and specifications, developing subcontractor and supplier bid lists, analyzing bids for scope and completeness, collaborating with clients, architects, and engineers to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement value engineering, participating in client meetings and preconstruction hand-offs, and maintaining historical cost databases and current pricing information for future estimates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
- 3–8 years of estimating or preconstruction experience
- Experience with take-offs, bid packages, and GMP estimates
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication and organizational skills
