Job Summary
This role requires developing accurate and timely proposals and estimates for private and public sector projects, focusing on heavy civil estimating work including paving, structural concrete, and underground work. Essential functions include analyzing estimate data related to labor, materials, and equipment, reviewing project specifications and site conditions, and ensuring the accuracy of 'take-off' quantities. Proficiency in Heavy Bid, P6, Excel, and Bluebeam is helpful. The candidate should adhere to safety initiatives and foster a quality culture that emphasizes the impact of quality on operations.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years estimating experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or equivalent related work experience
- Prior Project Engineer and take-off experience
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Estimating software
- Understanding of civil engineering principles
- Working knowledge of construction principles
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Working knowledge of agency (U)DBE requirements
