Job Summary
Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and addenda to determine project requirements and scope for complex façade projects. Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, including metal system pricing and detailed quantity takeoffs for glass and materials. Supervise junior estimators, train staff on Revit and estimating technologies, and mentor team members on performance. Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams to shape project strategy, manage vendor relationships, and ensure strict adherence to estimating standards. Act as lead estimator when assigned, providing feedback to management and handling additional assignments as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or Bachelor's Degree
- 5 to 10 years related experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, specifications and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
