Job Summary
Performs electrical service estimating in smaller, service-style environments, focusing on quick turnarounds and cost-effective options that meet customer specifications. Works closely with on-site personnel to generate and submit new project work, conducts field surveys, participates in pre-bid meetings, and uses Accubid and AutoCAD to validate materials, labor, and equipment costs. Builds proposals, provides weekly estimating updates, meets with customers to determine needs and offers cost-effective alternatives, mentors less experienced staff, and contributes to process improvements in design, estimating, and installation practices. Emphasizes safety compliance with Tri-M policies and maintains strong relationships with BAS, electrical construction, high voltage, and security estimators to maximize opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
- High school diploma and supplemental knowledge of the electrical construction industry
- Minimum of ten years’ experience in the electrical service or industrial electrical service environment
- Thorough understanding of the NFPA 70e electrical code
- Elevated knowledge of industrial related process control/instrumentation applications
- Above average literacy of computer aided drafting and mathematical skills
- Ability to meet deadlines, work unsupervised and manage multiple commitments
- Strong customer service skills
- Physical requirements: standing, walking, lifting up to 30 lbs, etc. and ability to work 40 hours/week
