Job Summary
The estimator will manage and lead estimating efforts while supervising a team of estimators. This role specializes in accurately estimating materials, equipment, and labor for construction projects, requiring a thorough understanding of plans and specifications. Essential skills include knowledge of construction techniques, Quantity Takeoff Methods, and scheduling, alongside the ability to work under pressure and complete several bids within a specific time frame. The estimator will communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotes and ensure the best pricing and scope coverage, while also entering labor, material, equipment, and project overhead data.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or a related field
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Estimating (Heavy/Civil)
- Strong business and financial knowledge
- Ability to be a relationship builder with strong industry ties
