Job Summary
Estimator - Landscape/Construction: plays a central pre-construction and bidding role turning plans into detailed, competitive estimates for landscape construction, site work, and related projects. Identify bidding opportunities, develop quantity take-offs and cost estimates, prepare organized project cost breakdowns, present estimates to internal teams and clients, explain assumptions and scope details, collaborate with landscape architects, general contractors, and subcontractors, track actual costs against estimates to improve accuracy, and help refine estimating processes based on historical data and lessons learned. Required Qualifications
- 3+ years estimating experience in landscape construction, site work, or general construction
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred)
- Proficiency with CAD and other construction/design software
- Experience using Bluebeam and RSMeans (or similar estimating tools)
- Strong knowledge of landscape construction and site work, asphalt paving, concrete and masonry, fencing
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and technical documents
- Familiarity with construction codes, regulations, and compliance standards
- Strong knowledge of estimating, bidding, and construction scheduling processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
