Job Summary
Lead Estimator responsible for accurate bid proposals and scope analysis for concrete construction projects. Performs take-offs and estimates labor, materials, buyout items, and crane/equipment costs to build comprehensive price estimates with appropriate profit margins. Reads proposals and specifications, attends pre-bid meetings, develops quantity take-offs, and ensures safety considerations are integrated into estimating. Maintains relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and owners/general contractors, and oversees buyout processes with the Project Manager. Requires deep knowledge of cast-in-place concrete construction and relevant terminology; proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years estimating successful large commercial self-perform concrete projects
- Knowledge of cast in place concrete construction, concrete footings, and foundations
- Ability to read and interpret technical and legal documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of related structural products (joist, deck, stairs, rails, anchor rods)
- Experience with estimating software packages and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience using B2W software is a plus
