Job Summary
Senior Commercial Roofing Estimator responsible for developing accurate, competitive estimates for large, complex commercial roofing projects across the New England region. Lead reviews of drawings, specifications, and bid documents; build detailed take-offs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work; coordinate with vendors/manufacturers/subcontractors to confirm system details and pricing; support contract and pricing negotiations on negotiated work; identify risks and opportunities, include assumptions and exclusions, and contribute to value engineering for cost efficiency. Partner with sales, operations, and project management to ensure a smooth transition from estimate to execution; visit job sites as needed to verify field conditions and strengthen estimate accuracy; maintain organized bid documentation and uphold estimating standards; support team growth and knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a commercial roofing estimator
- Experience working on large, complex commercial roofing projects
- Strong knowledge of all major commercial roofing systems and manufacturers
- Experience working with vendors and supporting pricing and contract negotiations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with Edge Estimating software strongly preferred
- Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot
