Job Summary
Analyze architectural plans, specifications, and scopes of work to identify project requirements and bid opportunities for commercial glass and glazing projects. Define project scope, perform material takeoffs, and develop accurate estimates incorporating labor, materials, equipment, and other costs. Obtain vendor pricing, collaborate with customers and field teams to clarify requirements, and evaluate financial and operational risks. Prepare detailed proposals and bids, participate in review meetings, and negotiate scope and pricing to ensure alignment with project specifications and company standards. Submit estimates by established deadlines while maintaining precision across multiple priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Construction/trade knowledge and ability to understand project scope
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans/specifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Clear communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to pass drug screening and MVR requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Commercial construction estimating experience
- Glass/glazing field or trade experience, particularly storefront, Herculite, tenant improvement, or related systems
- Estimating/project management software experience
- Microsoft Office proficiency
