Job Summary
Estimator for commercial construction projects including commercial interiors, renovations, tenant improvements, and ground-up builds. Responsible for detailed cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, GMP and conceptual estimates, subcontractor and supplier bid analysis, value engineering opportunities, and collaboration with clients, architects, and project teams throughout preconstruction. Requires 5+ years of estimating experience with a general contractor, experience with design-build, proficiency in estimating software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, OST, or similar), and strong knowledge of construction methods and Texas market pricing. Compensation includes base salary and bonus with comprehensive benefits; located in Dallas, TX with on-site work expectations.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of estimating experience with a general contractor
- Experience with commercial interiors, tenant improvements, renovations, and ground-up construction
- Design-build project experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in estimating and takeoff software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, OST, or similar)
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and Texas market pricing
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
