Estimator (Commercial Construction)

Job Summary
Track and obtain plans for potential projects to bid, prequalify subcontractors, and attend pre-bid meetings to clarify bid documents. Create comprehensive estimates with proper detail for all design stages, including general conditions studies and take-offs. Review quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for accuracy, prepare bid bonds and proposal documents, and establish a historical costs database. Provide information to the construction team and assist in preparing subcontract agreements. Maintain relationships with owners, suppliers, and subcontractors while attending networking events to improve existing connections.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business construction management, design, engineering, related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five years of Construction experience with a commercial general contractor, specifically within estimation and design
- Willingness and ability to undergo continuing education around construction best practices
- Working knowledge of estimating software programs
- Ability to select, build out and set up processes within software programs
- Procore Project Management Software
