Job Summary
Estimator for high-end residential construction in Long Island City, NY. Responsibilities include reviewing project plans, specifications, and bid documents; soliciting and analyzing subcontractor and vendor pricing; assisting in preparing budgets, estimates, bid packages, and quantity takeoffs; reviewing scopes of work, schedules, logistics plans, and general conditions; identifying project risks and cost-saving alternatives; maintaining accurate project documentation and cost tracking; coordinating with operations and project teams; and building strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of estimating experience within construction
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to read construction drawings and break down project scopes
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
