Job Summary
Develop full-scope cost estimates by interpreting project drawings, specifications, and proposals to create accurate quantity take-offs and subcontractor scope analyses. Manage bid estimate files, conduct peer reviews of staff estimates, and perform forensic reporting at project conclusion. Assist in developing execution plans, solicit vendor proposals, and maintain a historical database while researching means and methods to enhance competitiveness. Bill project-related hours and support forecasting for all PLTs. This full-time role requires occasional evening and weekend work and includes a salary of $160,000 - $180,000 DOE.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or similar technical training
- Minimum of five years of experience in estimating projects
- Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Bluebeam, and Procore
- Capable of managing an entire estimate of a project
- Ability to mentor and train project leadership teams
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team
- Ability to coordinate closely with engineers to produce quantity takeoffs for use in preparing estimates
- Proficient in understanding cost-based risk analysis
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Dependable
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
- Ability to understand, follow directions and meet critical deadlines
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Able to occasionally push, pull, lift, and/or carry supplies up to 25 pounds
- CCI Annual General Construction Safety Training
- First Aid/CPR Certification
