Job Summary
Prepare and submit competitive tenders for capital works projects, developing accurate pricing and cost estimates. Identify project risks, opportunities, and value-engineering solutions while working closely with Project Managers and Portfolio Managers to develop winning bids. Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure and deliver projects for government and community-focused customers. This role requires strong commercial judgement, attention to detail, and the ability to confidently work across multiple tenders. Required Qualifications
- Proven experience estimating capital works, construction, refurbishment or infrastructure projects
- A qualification in Quantity Surveying, Estimating, Construction Management or a related discipline
- Strong commercial acumen and experience preparing successful tenders
- Sound knowledge of construction contracts, estimating principles and project delivery methodologies
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills
- All applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
- Complete a medical assessment
- Pass a drug and alcohol test
- Provide two references
- Consent to a Criminal Record Check
