Job Summary
Estimator for commercial finishes responsible for pre-construction material takeoffs, determining materials/quantities from drawings/specs, researching required products, and providing accurate summaries. Will work with Project Consultants/Managers and installation crews; travel is minimal but possible for training/meetings at other Bonitz offices. Requires ability to read construction drawings, familiarity with CAD/estimating software, strong math/analytical skills, and proficient MS Office use. Excellent communication and organizational abilities expected; safety training and certifications must be up to date.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Must be able to pass a motor vehicle check
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- 2-5 years’ experience preferred
- CAD and estimating software background helpful but not required
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Proficient math and analytical skills
- Knowledge of commercial or residential construction products preferred
- Previous commercial or residential construction experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
