Job Summary

Review and clarify proposals, negotiate projects, and complete estimates including bid documents by determining project scope and evaluating special conditions. Prepare estimates based on time, labor, equipment costs, and specifications while obtaining and tracking vendor offers. Produce estimates, track them in TCR, and manage multiple projects simultaneously to determine close ratios and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal standards. Attend external pre-bid meetings, develop traffic control plans, and create preliminary schedules for awarded projects. Build relationships with customers and sales teams through calls and lunches, then submit reports to project managers and bidding competitions. Collaborate with the Operations Department to verify quotes and support strategic growth initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficient literacy
  • Organized with an intense focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Problem-solving skills and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to develop, foster, and manage customer relationships
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Products (Excel, Word)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Products (Excel, Word)
  • Hours of operation are typically 8 a.m.- 5 p.m., M-F
  • 40-hour workweek
  • Primarily sedentary or working at a desk
  • Occasionally lift and move 10 -25 pounds
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, or reach with hands and arms

Desired Qualifications

  • 2 or 4-year college degree in Construction Management or Engineering
  • Minimum of 1-year construction industry experience
  • Experience with Salesforce software
  • Knowledge of DOT M&S Standards and MUTCD
  • Gain technical knowledge required for all aspects of traffic control, and AWP Safety products to present to client
  • Develop traffic control plans
  • Attend regular customer lunches to build and maintain the relationship
