Job Summary
Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and production processes based on specifications. Utilize historical data and collaborate with engineering and production teams to refine estimates while gathering and analyzing relevant data from drawings and specifications. Work with project managers, engineers, and customer service teams to ensure project costs are accurate and within budget. Maintain and update a cost database for materials, labor, and equipment. Assist in preparing proposals, tracking project budgets, and providing insights on cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation. This role reports to the Vice President of Engineering at Alinabal in Milford, CT, with minimal local travel requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Basic math skills and a passion for numbers
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings and specifications
- Minimum (2) years in manufacturing
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and cost estimation preferred
- Familiarity with ERP systems (experience with SyteLine is a plus)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Associate's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field is preferred
- Candidates with relevant experience in estimating or manufacturing are encouraged to apply
