Job Summary
Estimator I assists in compiling accurate project estimates for HVAC systems, performing quantity take-offs, gathering vendor pricing, and documenting cost estimates. Works with the Sales Team to support estimating efforts, reads blueprints and mechanical drawings, collects pricing quotes from vendors and subcontractors, inputs data into estimating software and spreadsheets, ensures estimates comply with industry standards and building codes, and coordinates with the salesperson for engineer approval when products are not listed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years in HVAC, construction estimating, or related field preferred
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, and piping
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, PlanSwift, BlueBeam and estimating software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team
