Job Summary
Prepare accurate construction estimates for environmental and fuel facility projects by creating take-offs, analyzing projects, and utilizing subcontractors and suppliers. Obtain vendor and subcontractor pricing for materials, equipment, and services while performing site visits, bid walks, and pre-bid conferences to determine site constraints. Collaborate with junior estimators to complete bid packages, write proposals, and prepare technical reports. Attend weekly estimating meetings, hold transfer meetings for awarded projects, and contact clients, customers, and government representatives regarding proposed work. Manage project estimates ranging from $25,000 to $5,000,000 with a focus on detail and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of estimating experience in the construction, environmental, or similar industry
- Must be detail-oriented
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently
- Ability to manage and generate project estimates for projects ranging from $25,000 up to $5,000,000
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Advanced knowledge of excel
