Job Summary
Create budgets and estimates by quantifying scopes of work, applying pricing, and communicating with subcontractors to mitigate scope gaps. Conduct thorough risk assessments by interpreting contracts to develop mitigation strategies. Develop execution plans including preliminary schedules, and attend site visits to evaluate project complexities. Maintain clear relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and team members while monitoring market trends across residential, industrial, and commercial sectors. Embrace new technologies to enhance estimating processes and foster a collaborative environment by sharing best practices. This role supports successful project delivery from the beginning within a team-oriented culture focused on evolving and leading construction outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- At least three years of relevant estimating experience with a general contractor in the construction industry
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building systems
- Experience interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, On-Screen Takeoff
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Postsecondary education in Construction Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- familiarity with Revit BIM
