Job Summary
Review invitations to bid, project plans, specifications, and contract documents to perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop comprehensive cost estimates. Prepare competitive proposals for commercial waterproofing, concrete restoration, façade restoration, masonry restoration, and building envelope projects by analyzing scope, labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing. Coordinate with project managers, operations, vendors, and clients to validate pricing, attend pre-bid meetings and site visits, and manage RFIs that impact project costs. Identify risks, exclusions, and value engineering opportunities while maintaining estimating databases and supporting business development efforts. Must be eligible to work in the United States with five years of commercial construction estimating experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Minimum of five (5) years of commercial construction estimating experience
- Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and industry standards
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings
- Experience performing detailed quantity takeoffs
- Knowledge of AIA contracts, RFIs, change orders, procurement processes, and construction documentation
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Desired Qualifications
- Experience estimating one or more of the following: Commercial Waterproofing, Concrete Restoration, Façade Restoration, Building Envelope, Masonry Restoration, Structural Repair
- Experience using estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, ProEst, Sage Estimating, or similar platforms
