Job Summary
The Estimator 2 role involves performing conceptual estimating and interacting with General Contractors or vendors under guidance. Responsibilities include ensuring electrical layouts align with the National Electric Code, reviewing architectural narratives, entering information into the estimating system, and writing proposals based on incomplete designs. The position necessitates a solid understanding of electrical construction, common building practices, and the ability to analyze complex projects. Candidates should have effective communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience in cost tracking and project changes.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three years of progressive experience in the electrical trade
- At least two years of estimating experience
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in related field
- Attendance or completion in the Electrical apprenticeship program
- Construction management degree
- Power engineering degree
