Job Summary
Lead Saltire's estimating and tendering function by reviewing opportunities, developing competitive pricing strategies, and managing commercial risk. Manage supplier and subcontractor pricing networks while leading bid reviews, risk assessments, and commercial evaluations. Support contract negotiations, project handovers, and mentor estimators and project support personnel. Drive continuous improvement in estimating systems, tools, and processes to contribute to strategic planning and operational performance. Report directly to the Managing Director with autonomy to improve systems and secure projects driving business expansion.
Required Qualifications
- demonstrated experience leading estimating teams and major tenders
- Proven experience in estimating leadership or senior commercial roles
- Strong understanding of civil, water or utility infrastructure projects
- Commercially astute with strong financial and contractual knowledge
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
- The ability to build high-performing teams and improve business processes
- A proactive, growth-focused mindset
