Estimating Manager - Mechanical

Job Summary
Lead the estimating process and deliverables for multiple concurrent projects or a single large complex project through the entire design phase. Prepare preliminary conceptual cost estimates and budgets on limited information while collaborating with operations, accounting, VDC, purchasing, and scheduling disciplines. Coordinate with senior management, preconstruction leads, and design teams to execute tasks, present deliverables, and align costs with contract requirements. Supervise a team of estimators to ensure accuracy, manage workload, and train staff on procedures. Lead the Value Management process to reduce price and increase value while maintaining healthy relationships with owners and industry partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- 8-15+ years of relevant experience
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to lead multiple estimates concurrently or large / complex estimates
- Extensive knowledge of On-Screen Take-off, Destini, and Site work software tools for take-offs
- Ability to leads the estimating process and deliverable for projects throughout the design phase
- Ability to presents estimating deliverables (internally and externally) and participates in interviews during the pursuit phase
- Ability to conceptually estimate projects with limited information
- Ability to estimate multiple facility types such as residential high rise, healthcare, interiors, and institutional
- Ability to estimate within multiple delivery methods
- Ability to maintain healthy working relationships with industry partners (Owners, designers, subcontractors, etc.) for the development of estimating deliverables
- Researches and maintains market trends (material, equipment, lead times) relating to estimating efforts
- Must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
