Job Summary
Oversee the estimating department by creating take offs, sub pays, and cost estimates for clients while comparing vendor pricing. Review blueprints, prepare cost and expenditure statements and forecasts, and set up cost monitoring and reporting systems. Maintain a professional demeanor and consistently provide a safe work environment. Requires 2+ years of residential construction experience, ability to read blueprints, proficiency in SAGE Estimator and Microsoft Suite, and a Bachelor's degree in mathematics or engineering.
Required Qualifications
- 2 or more years of residential construction and building materials related experience
- Experience with managing others
- Ability to read blueprints and other technical materials
- Experience with SAGE Estimator (Plan Swift), SAGE 300, and/or SAGE 500
- Ability to use the Microsoft Suite such as Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
- Understanding of measurements and basic math principles
- Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, or related field
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and up to 50 lbs on a random basis
- Must have an excellent attendance history with a work ethic to match
