Job Summary
Estimating Manager leads bid preparation and reviews for electrical projects, mentors estimators, develops SOPs and training programs, and collaborates on RFP responses. Responsibilities include overseeing estimating activities, creating project budgets, developing pricing adjustments, coordinating with design/assist and CMAR delivery methods, reviewing bid qualifications, and guiding a team while engaging with clients and internal stakeholders. Requires deep experience in electrical estimating, proficiency with Accubid/ConEst and Excel, strong communication, leadership, and training abilities.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 10+ years of commercial estimating experience required, or in combination with project management experience.
- Three years of experience managing or supervising a team required.
- A thorough understanding of the local/regional bidding market is required.
- A thorough understanding of either electrical distribution and motor controls OR electrical distribution, branch, and lighting systems is required.
- Field experience as a licensed journeyman or associate degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.
