Job Summary
Review proposal specifications, drawings, and historical data to determine scope of work and calculate material quantities for discipline estimates. Assist the estimating team by conducting takeoffs, preparing project hand-off meetings, and consulting with clients or vendors to formulate estimates and resolve issues. Research and recommend subcontractors to achieve cost goals while supporting published corporate policies and design review options. This role supports FlatironDragados' construction discipline teams in Alexandria, VA, allowing interns to apply academic training in Civil Engineering or Construction Management to real-world estimating tasks.
Required Qualifications
- currently enrolled in a(n) Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar program at an accredited technical college or university
