Estimating and Preconstruction Manager

Job Summary
Lead and mentor a team of estimators and preconstruction professionals, reviewing estimates, proposals, bid strategies, and project risk assessments. Collaborate with operations, project management, and executive leadership throughout the project lifecycle to drive process improvements and best practices. Support workforce planning, recruiting, and employee development efforts while participating in client meetings, presentations, and strategic planning discussions. This role offers significant influence on the future direction of the preconstruction department within an established electrical contractor with a strong backlog of complex commercial and healthcare projects.
Required Qualifications
- Leadership experience within estimating, preconstruction, project management, or operations
- Commercial electrical construction experience or significant experience supporting healthcare-related construction projects
- Strong understanding of estimating principles, bid strategy, and project execution
- Experience developing teams and building strong internal relationships
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with Accubid and Trimble products
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
