Job Summary
Review documentation, validate costs, and prepare detailed estimates for restoration and reconstruction projects to ensure accuracy, profitability, and compliance with insurer requirements. Collaborate with project managers and administrative teams to identify scope gaps, resolve billing discrepancies, and implement revisions based on reviewer feedback. Mentor junior estimators, share best practices, and maintain current knowledge of industry standards and pricing updates. This role requires Xactimate Level 2 certification and proficiency in XactAnalysis, with bilingualism in French and English considered an asset. At First Onsite, you contribute to helping communities rebuild and families recover after unexpected events.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum de trois (3) années d'expérience en estimation dans le domaine de la restauration après sinistre, de la construction ou de l'assurance
- Diplôme d'études secondaires ou équivalent requis
- Excellentes aptitudes en communication écrite et orale et capacité à collaborer efficacement avec les équipes de projet et les clients
- Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office et aisance avec les outils numériques d'estimation
- Excellente maîtrise de Xactimate et XactAnalysis, ainsi qu'une bonne compréhension des processus d'estimation et des normes de documentation
- Certification Xactimate niveau 2 requise et capacité d'obtenir la certification niveau 3
- Bonne connaissance des pratiques de restauration après sinistre, des systèmes du bâtiment et des exigences des assureurs
- Grande rigueur, souci du détail ainsi que solides capacités d'analyse et de résolution de problèmes
- Le bilinguisme (français et anglais) est considéré comme un atout
- Minimum 3 years of experience in property restoration estimating, construction, or insurance-related work
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and clients
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and comfort using digital estimating tools
- Proficient in Xactimate and XactAnalysis with a strong understanding of estimating workflows and documentation standards
- Xactimate Level 2 certification required with the ability to obtain Level 3
- Solid understanding of restoration practices, building systems, and insurer protocols
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French considered an asset
